Big Idea — The Book of Genesis reveals much of what we know about the nature and character of God. Its opening narrative about the Creation of the world serves as a springboard for understanding four divine principles God established and how we should live out those principles today.

• Week 1 — The Divine Principle of Separation
The first thing God did in Creation was separate the light from the darkness. Similarly, He called His people out of darkness and into His marvelous light. In this lesson we’ll discuss practical ways we can separate ourselves from the darkness of this world as we pursue Jesus.

• Week 2 — The Divine Principle of Sowing and Reaping
God established the principle of sowing and reaping. In this lesson, we’ll explore how we reap what we sow and consequently discuss how to sow things that reap blessings.

• Week 3 — The Divine Principle of Growth
God established that living things would grow and multiply. Similarly, Jesus calls us today to grow spiritually and to help others grow along the journey of becoming His disciples. In this lesson, we’ll discuss principles of spiritual growth and how to help others grow in God.

• Week 4 — The Divine Principle of Community
God created His people to live in community. In this lesson, we’ll explore the need to reject isolation and the value of embracing community.
